Chairman, Redshift Capital LLC

Roger Hruby has been involved in the specialty chemical industry since 1958.

For two decades, Mr. Hruby served as chairman and chief executive officer of CFC International, Inc.  CFC International, Inc. formulates, manufactures, and sells chemically complex, transferable, multi-layer coatings, and is a leading supplier in many of the worldwide markets it serves.  Principle markets for CFC’s products are heat transfer printing for intravenous solution bags, magnetic strips for ATM/credit cards, and woodgrain laminates for the furniture industry. 

CFC is also the leading supplier of holograms used to authenticate brand name software, merchandise, credit cards, event tickets and other applications requiring protection against unauthorized copying or counterfeiting.  CFC International, Inc.’s main plant and headquarters are located in Chicago Heights, Illinois.  In addition, the company has plants in London, England, Goppingen, Germany and Countryside, Illinois, as well as, representatives in twenty-four countries throughout the world.

On September 6, 2006 CFC was purchased by Illinois Tool Works, a leading $14 billion manufacturing conglomerate.

Prior to his leadership stint at CFC, Mr. Hruby served for 20 years as Chief Operating Officer of Bee Chemical Company, in Lansing, IL.  During that period, he guided the development of specialty coatings for the furniture and automotive industries, and oversaw the joint venture with Nippon Paint, the second largest manufacturer of coatings in Japan.  Under his leadership, Nippon Paint became the most profitable coating company in Japan, growing its annual sales to $50 million.

While running operations at Bee Chemical Company, Mr. Hruby also managed the acquisition for BCL company in England.

Mr. Hruby earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from North Central College, in Naperville, IL, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. On June 11, 2011, Mr. Hruby was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science Degree from North Central College.

A member in several business and philanthropical organizations, Mr. Hruby is active in the World President’s Organization, the Executive Club of Chicago and the Chief Executives Organization.  He has served on the Board of Trustees and as Chairman of the Board at North Central College.  An avid and experienced sailor, he has participated in ocean sailboat racing as well as sailboat racing on Lake Michigan. 

Mr. Hruby is married to his wife Nadeane and has six children, as welll as 17 grandchildren.


Chief Financial Officer, Redshift Capital LLC

Dennis Lakomy joined Redshift Capital as CFO in 2008. 

Prior to joining Redshift, Mr. Lakomy had served as a member of the board of directors of CFC International, Inc. since August of 1995. Mr. Lakomy was also Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer of CFC. In 1975, he had joined Bee Chemical Company and served as Vice President and Controller of that company from 1982 until co-founding CFC International with Mr. Hruby in 1986. In 1995 Mr. Lakomy assisted in taking the company public and was responsible for Investor Relations. CFC also made four acquisitions (two cross-border transactions) and established a joint venture that enhanced CFC’s base technology and expanded its product offerings. Prior to his roles during his 30 plus years at CFC, Mr. Lakomy worked in public accounting upon earning his undergraduate degree. He also was the controller for a land development company that converted farm land into residential, commercial and industrial uses by installing improvements and operating the local utilities company. Mr. Lakomy earned a bachelors degree in accounting from Loyola University of Chicago and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

Cheryl Ruthrauff has been associated with Roger Hruby and Dennis Lakomy, in various positions of responsibilities, for the past 30 years.

Ms. Ruthrauff has served in different positions in the R&D Labs, Customer Service, Sales and Personal Assistance during her tenure at CFC International Inc. and Bee Chemical Company. She had the major responsibility for communications within these various departments at these two companies.

Ms. Ruthrauff most recently assumed the responsibility of setting up and managing the offices of RedShift Capital LLC.  She attended DePaul University.
